We are so excited to start announcing our 2016 Souper Sampler vendors! First up, we would like to welcome back Little Mushroom Catering to the 7th annual Mayor’s Souper Sampler for Meals on Wheels.
The folks at Little Mushroom are way bigger than their name would have you guess. They are incredibly active in the community, regularly helping out with local fundraisers and supporting not for profits in the area. They have also won many awards including the 2016 Business Excellence Award – Cambridge Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Little Mushroom Catering is a huge supporter of Community Support Connections – Meals on Wheels and More! Not only do they participate as a Souper Sampler vendor, but they also participate in our other delicious fundraising event, Tacofest.
We can’t wait to try their soup creation on October 22. Thank you for your ongoing support!

We were joined by 13 different restaurants and caterers who brought their best soup and Starbucks who generously provided coffee. Thanks to everyone who came out to the event. Because of your generous support, we raised over $3,000 for Community Support Connections – Meals on Wheels and More!
Congratulations to our winners as well. Third place went to both The Bruce Restaurant and Lounge and Ambertree Fresh Market Kitchen, Second place to The Hungry OIive, and the big winner B@THEMUSEUM took home the Souper Sampler Trophy! Congratulations to Ambertree Fresh Market Kitchen for winning The People’s Choice Award!
This event would not have been possible without the following vendors who donate all of their product in support of our clients. Thank you:
A big thank you to Green Sponsor Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada. The reusable water bottles you sponsored encouraged all of our patrons to be green and reduce waste.
Don’t miss the photos on CSC’s Facebook Page here! Thanks again and see you next year!
For the second year in a row, the Meals on Wheels Dream Team is back to participate in the Mayor’s Souper Sampler!
The Tender Loving Care Kitchen at Community Support Connections – Meals on Wheels and More celebrated its one year anniversary on August 17th, 2015. Clients say the meals are amazing, thanks to the efforts of Chef Paula and her talented crew. The meals are full of fresh, local ingredients and prepared just minutes before they’re delivered. Operating CSC’s own kitchen has shortened the cancellation/addition window – meaning the Meals on Wheels program is more flexible than ever. Individual variations are better accommodated including 11 therapeutic menus and individual adaptations. CSC is grateful to the many supporters and community partners who helped make a 30-year dream a reality.
Thanks Chef Paula and the hard working volunteers and staff who prepare meals each day enabling people to live at home with independence and dignity!
