Pour Up and Juice Up

Big news coming down the Souper Sampler pipeline today. We’ve got two vendors to announce! The first vendor is a returning one, The Easy Pour Wine Bar! Located on the edges of Cambridge in Blair, they’re focused on pairing locally sourced food with amazing wines in a cozy, rustic atmosphere. Their property is Heritage designated, built in 1856, and is a great place for a night out with the people that matter the most. Easy Pour has been a loyal Community Support Connections – Meals on Wheels and More (CSC) supporter and we’re very excited to have them back this year! Best of luck in the competition and thanks for the support!

Our second vendor announcement is for a new friend, Galt Juice Company! Located in the heart of Downtown Galt, these folks have been serving up healthy, local, organic cold pressed juice since 2015 and are only continuing to do great things. With a variety of cleanses, delivery options, meal boxes and catering options they’ve got everything you could need to kick-start your healthy lifestyle. It’s never too late to start your New Years Resolution. Like we said, this will be Galt Juice Company’s first time at Souper Sampler and we’re pumped to see what kind of great, healthy soup they bring with them! Thanks for supporting the clients of CSC!

CSC’s Meals on Wheels and Community Dining clients regularly experience and enjoy the culinary creations that come out of the Tender Loving Care Kitchen, and having the team join the Souper Sampler gives everyone an opportunity to get a taste of what Meals on Wheels is all about!

CSC is committed to increasing the use of fresh, local ingredients in their meals. Thanks to a generous donation from 100 Women Who Care Waterloo Region received just this past summer, we are building our very own kitchen garden to incorporate even more fresh, local ingredients in our meals, and have also installed a living wall providing fresh herbs for our clients all year long.

Thanks to our hardworking volunteers, Chef Paula and the rest of our staff who prepare meals for our clients each day enabling them to live at home with independence and dignity!
